Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by
turning the handwheel counterclockwise.

Raise the pressure foot lifter_

Place a spool on the spool pin, with thread coming off as
shown.

Draw the end of thread around the upper thread guide.

While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring holder_

Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the take-up
lever and down into the take-up lever eye.

Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the
left.

Thread the needle from front to back or use a needle
threader.
° Needle threader
[] Raise the needle to its highest position. Pull down the
needle threader knob as far as it will go_
[] Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow in the illustration,
then insert hook (_ into the needle eye. Lead the thread
around guide (_) and under hook _,
[] Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow in the illustration,
drawing the thread loop through the needle,
[] Pull the thread through the needle eye.
* The needle threader can be used with a #11 to #16
needle or a #11 Blue needle.
Thread size 50 to 100 should work well.
