To connect the bus coupler power supply:
1. Make sure that the power cable plug has the correct pin
assignments (see Table 6 on page 63), if you do not use a

pre-assembled cable.
2. Connect the power supply to the POWER X10 connection (3)

on the bus coupler.
3. Check the operating voltage specifications according to the
electrical characteristics and comply with them (see
chapter "Technical Data" on page 82).

To discharge EMC interferences, connect the FE connection (4)

on the bus coupler via a low-impedance line to earth.

The following settings have to be made:
W
Assigning names, IP addresses, and subnet masks
W
Setting diagnostic messages
W
Selecting the valve supply
All of these settings are made with the switches beneath the
cover of the bus coupler. See Fig. 4 below for position of
switches.
Proceed as follows to make the settings:
1. Remove the cover of the bus coupler by undoing the four
screws (1).
2. Make the settings with the switches as described below.
3. Refit the cover carefully according to Fig. 4 below. Ensure
that the sealing (2) is positioned correctly. Tighten the
screws (1) with a torque of 1.0 to 1.2 Nm.
