Rim Data Freeze
The "Rim Data Freeze" function allows you to save
the data detected on a fi rst rim, of a group of identical
wheels (usually four) to be balanced.
This function enhances machine performance since it
reduces the data acquisition time for the subsequent
identical wheels after the fi rst.
How the function works:
•
Clamp the fi rst wheel.
•
Perform a measuring run.
All the wheel data are automatically detected during
the measuring run.
After the first wheel has been balanced, before
clamping the second wheel from the set on the
machine, you can freeze the rim data by selecting the
icon (1, Fig. 5-23) Rim Data Freeze. Immediately, the
information fi eld displays the icon (2, Fig. 5-23b).
The subsequent wheels will be balanced without
running the rim profile detection. The use of the
previously "frozen" data, reduces the cycle time
considerably.
If previously enabled, the laser pointer function can be
used for weight placement.

This function is directly available at the end of the
wheel measuring run and can be activated from the
BALANCING screen page (BALANCING):
•
Selecting the Item (1, Fig. 5-23) Rim Data Freeze.
To cancel the function:
Press (1, Fig. 5-23), Rim Data Freeze again.
In this way, the lock icon disappears (3, Fig. 5-23a),
indicating that the rim scan can be performed in the
next measuring run.
