5.15.3.2 Using the gauge arm
Note: Using the gauge arm is an alternative option
to using the laser pointer for weight application.
Warning:
For top weight application with arm tip, Laser
Pointer will have to be disabled.
Refer to (Figure 5-38).
The gauge arm must be used to apply the stick-on
weights.
• Turn the wheel until it reaches the balancing
position of the right plane.
• Press brake pedal to lock the wheel in this
position.
Decide whether to use the Split Weight Mode

SWM now (
5.15.4).
• Clean the application point before attaching the
stick-on weight.
• Insert at the centre of the gauge arm a stick-on
weight that complies with the imbalance measured
and remove the protective tape from the adhesive
strip (1, Figure 5-38).
Note: When the gauge arm has been removed
and the correct position has been reached, the
unit beeps.
• Apply the weight to the correct point of the rim.
• Move the wheel until it reaches the following
WAP position, apply the stick-on weight on the
gauge arm and fi t the weight to the reference point
of the left plane.
• At the end perform a Test Run.
