3) PREPARATION WORK ON VEHICLE BODY & CHASSIS
Refer to the FITTING DRAWING or the product-specific
TECHNICAL SUMMARY to get insight in the most impor-
tant technical fitting parameters, and to determine the
scope of the work that will be required to prepare and
adapt the vehicle chassis to the HTL.
Both documents contain useful fitting information such as:
1. Fitting height
2. Required overhang
3. Position of the platform and the lift frame under the
chassis
4. Fixation of the mounting plates
5. Size and position of the boxes for the rear vehicle
lights
6. Thickness of the rear traverse of the vehicle loading
floor
7. ...
But:
FITTING DRAWING = 1 single page, with fitting
details of 1 specific HTL on 1 well-defined vehi-
cle = study on request or order confirmation.
[See Fig. 3.1]
TECHNICAL SUMMARY = general fitting infor-
mation for a type of HTL, separated from a spe-
cific vehicle. See www.dhollandia.com or local
DHOLLANDIA agent. [See Fig. 3.2]
Remove all objects (spare wheel carrier, vehicle rear
lights, pallet racks, chassis cases, parts if the vehicle ex-
haust pipe...) that are fitted in the overhang required by
the HTL, and that are not compatible with the HTL. Where
necessary, consult with the vehicle manufacturer for re-
placement solutions (e.g. special spare wheel carriers,
exhaust pipe modifications...).
