For side-mounted sliding tubes, wider mounting brackets
are available to mount the HTL alongside the spring han-
gars of a mechanical vehicle suspension [See fig. 5.13].
§5.3 - Differences for DH-SSU(R) 2000-3000 kg and DH-
SK(S) 1000-2000 kg
For these HTL types, the quantity of mounting brackets is
increased to 4 per side.
Refer to the FITTING DRAWING for confirma-
tion of the correct position of the mounting
brackets of the sliding tubes.
If not available (e.g. fitting of stock HTL), refer to the
TECHNICAL SUMMARY, to determine the positions of the
mounting brackets:
1. The position of the rear mounting brackets evolves
from the work position of the HTL [1 on Fig. 5.14].
2. The position of the front mounting brackets [2 on Fig.
5.14] evolves from the overhang dimension M [3 on
Fig. 5.14]. When the platform is not mounted flush with
the rear end of the vehicle, correct the overhang di-
mension M accordingly.
3. Follow the instructions for the 2 middle mounting
bracket [4 on Fig 5.14].
It is important to position the mounting brackets
of the sliding tubes with due diligence. Wrong
positioning can lead to overload situations, and
premature failure of the HTL [See Fig. 5.12].
