5.5 Connection to the PV Panel (DC input)
With reference to "Table 1" in the appendix
1. This inverter has three independent MPPT inputs, hence it is possible to
handle independent PV generators, each of them subject to the
considerations from point 2 to point 6, but they may differ from each other.
If only one PV generator is connected to the inverter, the best efficiency is
achieved by using only two of the three inputs in parallel if the short circuit
current is less than twice the "Max. input current per MPPT". If it is greater, it
is possible to use all three of the inputs in parallel.
2. Make sure the maximum open circuit voltage of the PV generator is less
than "Max. open DCV" UNDER ANY CONDITION and check the polarity of
the cables carefully: applying reverse voltage could permanently damage
the inverter.
3. PV generator strings must be evenly built, thus employing only one model of
PV modules and having the same length.
4. Use only the "DC Connectors" defined in Table 1 in
the appendix to connect the PV generator
5. Connect the positive pole of the PV generator to the
(+) terminal and the negative pole to the (-) terminal.
6. Use curves in chapter 13 to perform correct PV
generator(s) design.
