Check the fit:
Using both hands, try to turn the helmet to the left and right. If your helmet fits properly, the skin
on your forehead will move with it; if it doesn't, the helmet is too loose. Go back to step 2.
Check the straps:
Using both hands, try to push the helmet back as far as possible and to pull it down to the front as
far as possible. Try really hard. This is important. If the helmet should break away in one direction
or be able to roll down to the front in such a way that your field of vision is impaired or so far to
the back that your forehead is exposed, the helmet is not being worn properly. Repeat steps 2-5
until the helmet can only move a little.
CAUTION! If you cannot adjust the helmet so that it can only be pushed a little to the front or back when
the straps are closed, DO NOT USE THIS HELMET. Replace it with a smaller one or a different model.
Do a test run
When the helmet has been adjusted properly and the straps are set correctly, do a short test
run. Make sure the helmet fits comfortably and correctly during travel. If necessary, readjust the
straps and the chin strap again to improve wearing comfort and fit.
B: INTERIOR FITTINGS / ACCESSORIES
(If you have a helmet with exchangeable fittings (exchange pin), loosen this carefully from its
seats (Fig. 6) for replacement.) In the case of winter fittings and other accessories, please note
the following special instructions for use.
C: USABLE LIFE
The protective effect of a helmet is no longer fully guaranteed if it has been exposed to a heavy
blow or impact. A helmet that has been damaged in this way can no longer effectively protect
your head from injury. Even if no damage can be seen from the outside the helmet must still be
replaced. This also applies if the helmet no longer fits properly. The helmet should also be repla-
ced after several years of use even if there are no visible signs of damage. CHECK YOUR HELMET
REGULARLY FOR VISIBLE SIGNS OF DAMAGE!
D: CHANGES TO THE HELMET, CLEANING
The standard series production version of this helmet was tested and released in compliance with
the respective standard. CAUTION: Changes to the helmet, particularly the application of paint,
stickers, use of cleaning agents, chemicals and solvents can have a serious impact on the safety
of your helmet. Only use agents and accessories or spare parts which we have approved. Always
only use water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth to clean your helmet.
E: STORAGE
Allow your helmet to air dry after each use and keep it in a cool, dry place. High temperatures
(including those caused by direct sunlight, behind glass, in dark bags and luggage compartments)
can seriously damage the helmet. Uneven helmet surfaces and blister formation are signs of heat
damage. These can occur from temperatures of 65°C upward.
CAUTION: Never use helmets that have been damaged by heat.
F: IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE TRAVELLING FAST TO INJURE YOURSELF!
Cases of serious head injuries or even fatal injuries have been documented even at walking pace
EVEN WHEN RIDERS WERE WEARING A HELMET. The protection provided by a helmet depends
on the circumstances of an accident, although wearing a helmet does not always prevent a fatal
accident or longer invalidity.
ALWAYS USE A HELMET WHEN CYCLING OR SKATING AND RIDE CAREFULLY.THE HELMET CAN
ONLY PROTECT WHAT IT IS COVERING.
Always wear your helmet in the right position. No helmet can protect the neck or exposed parts of
the head. To guarantee maximum protection, this helmet must fit tightly, the straps must always
be used and adjusted correctly according to the instructions.
10

health problems for wearers in a normal physical condition. Nevertheless, if you do experience
any kind of reaction, stop using the helmet.
