5.2 Final Assembly of the Carbon Adapter
CAUTION
Improper assembly of the screw connections
Fall due to breakage or loosening of the screw connections
► Clean the threads before every installation.
► Apply the installation torques provided.
► Observe the instructions for securing the screw connections and the
use of the correct length.
Chosen socket adapter

Required tools and materials:

Sanding tools, 636K13 Loctite®, 710D4 Torque Wrench
1) CAUTION! Do not sand the laminate around the edge of the carbon
adapter!
Sand the laminate on the distal end of the prosthetic socket down to the
surface of the lamination dummy.
2) Remove the lamination dummy (see fig. 12).
3) Select the correct countersunk head screws to connect the socket
adapter to the carbon socket attachment block (see selection table).
4) Secure the threads of the socket attachment block with Loctite®.
5) CAUTION! Observe the minimum screw insertion depth of 8 mm!
Install the socket adapter with 4 countersunk head screws. Observe the
instructions and installation torque values in the socket adapter instruc
tions for use.
6 Maintenance
► A visual inspection and functional test of the prosthetic components
should be performed after the first 30 days of use.
► Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.
► Conduct annual safety inspections.
7 Disposal
This product may not be disposed of with regular domestic waste in all juris
dictions. Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of the coun
try where the product is used may have a detrimental impact on health and
