DCN Discussion System
- Press the recess switch 'Start' for the second
Eng
time to start the equalisation procedure.
- During the equalisation procedure a high
pitched noise is audible indicated by a
flashing 'Busy' LED. After the measurement
the filter settings are calculated while the
'Busy' LED is still on.
- Finally the settings are saved in back-up
memory, and the 'Busy LED is switched off.
(This takes a few minutes)
Note: The auto-equalisation process can
be aborted by pressing any key on the
CCU in which case the previous equaliser
settings are restored.
Remarks:
- The frequency response of a room is
dependent on the position of microphone
and loudspeaker used, particularly if a
microphone is relative close to a
loudspeaker. Switching between a
microphone-loudspeaker combination and
another can result in an entire different
frequency response. Therefore,
equalisation has primarily an advantage
if the microphone is in the diffuse field of
the loudspeaker, for example if a
separate PA system is used.
- The equaliser is only active on the
delegate loudspeaker channel and the
equalised PA output. The equalised PA
output is only available on the Audio
Media Interface LBB 3508/00, channel
12.
