4. Replacement of bobbin

(1) How to replace the bobbin thread

When the set value of bobbin thread counter is reached, the sensor head retracts to allow the bobbin to be
replaced.

(2) How to change the bobbin thread while the bobbin thread counter is in operation

To change the bobbin before the bobbin thread counter reaches the set value, follow the steps of procedure
described below.

Refer to the Instruction Manual for the sewing ma-
chine for how to set the bobbin thread on the sewing
machine.
1) Open the safety cover. Replace the bobbin with a
new one. After the replacement, close the safety
cover.
2) Press RESET key 1 on the indication box. When
you press RESET key 1 , the bobbin case holder
positioning fi nger cylinder checks the position of
the bobbin.
As long as the bobbin is correctly positioned, the
sensor head returns to its origin and the bobbin
replacement procedure is completed.
If the bobbin position cannot be detected, the
bobbin case setting fault will occur and
lamp lights up. Make sure that the bobbin is
inserted correctly. Then, press RESET key 1
again for confi rmation.
3) Press key on the sewing machine operation
box to clear the bobbin thread counter.
1) When the sewing machine is in the standby
state, keep RESET key 1 on the indication box
held pressed for two seconds or more.
The sensor head travels to the retracted position
to allow the bobbin to be replaced.
2) Change bobbin with another one referring to
aforementioned "(1) How to replace the bobbin
thread".
