7. Installation

Be sure to read and observe the safety instructions prior to installation!

Compare the electrical data of the supply grid with that of the type label.
This data must be consistent.

Install the Bitron at least 6 feet from the edge of the pond!

Position the Bitron so that it will not be emmersed in water.
–
Put the Bitron where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight!
–
Lay the hoses and the connecting lead in such a way that they do not
present an obstacle and cannot be damaged!

You must read and follow the safety instructions before the installation!

The Bitron devices 18C are suitable for a pump capacity of up to
3960 Gph (15000 l/h). The flow rate on the UVC bulb should not exceed
– 580 Gph (2200 l/h) for Bitron 18C
(see "8.1 Bypass setting")

The Bitron devices 36C/55C are suitable for a pump capacity of up to
7920 Gph (30000 l/h). The flow rate on the UVC bulb should not exceed
– 1190 Gph (4500 l/h) for Bitron 36C
– 1720 Gph (6500 l/h) for Bitron 55C
(see "8.1 Bypass setting")

Please select the filtration system according to Table 7 (page 47).
Selection criteria: Pond size and with/without fish stock).
Legend for Table 7 (page 47):
Near natural garden ponds with plants.
Garden and koi ponds with a fish stock up to 2.2 lbs (1000 grams)
per 265 Gal. (1000 litres).
