Disassembly/Exchange
Danger of burns caused by hot valve coils.
The valve coils could become very hot during operation.
O
Let the system cool off before disassembling it.
O
Do not touch the system during operation.
Electric voltage and high pressure
Danger of injury from electrical shocks and sudden pressure drops.
O
Make sure the system is not under pressure or voltage before performing the following
tasks:
– Removing or connecting plugs
– Disassembling the system
– Exchanging individual components
Disassembling the VS from the DIN rail
O
Information on disassembling the VS from DIN rail can be found in the separate instructions
for VS DIN rail assembly.
Disassembling from the mounting surface
1. Make sure the system is not under pressure or voltage before disassembly.
2. Loosen all connections.
3. Loosen all mounting screws on the VS.
The VS can now be removed from the mounting surface.
9
Extension and Conversion
Electric voltage and high pressure
Danger of injury from electrical shocks and sudden pressure drops.
O
Make sure the system is not under pressure or voltage before performing the following
tasks:
– Removing or connecting plugs
– Disassembling the system
– Exchanging individual components
Occupying reserve positions
Valve positions that are closed by blanking plates can be retrofitted with valves or supply plates.
To retrofit reserve positions, the VS does not have to be removed from the DIN rail or
mounting surface.
Use of an unsuitable Phillips screwdriver
Unsuitable Phillips screwdrivers can damage the Pozidriv cross recessed screws.
O
Use the following sizes for the assembly//disassembly of valves, supply plates, and
blanking plates:
– HF04, HF04-XF: only Pozidriv PZ0 screwdriver
– HF03-LG: only Pozidriv PZ1 screwdriver
– HF02-LG: only Pozidriv PZ2 screwdriver
20
To occupy a reserve position (example: HF04)
1. Make sure the system is not under pressure or voltage before disassembly.
2. Loosen the cross recessed screws (12) on the blanking plate and remove the blanking plate.
3. Mount the valve (10) or supply plate (11) and fasten it with the cross recessed screws (12).
4. Restart the system.
If double solenoid valves are assembled on base plates (GP/FGP) for single solenoid
valves, only 1 solenoid can be actuated.

NOTICE
Mounting base plates (GP/FGP)
The valve system can be extended by additional valve positions by adding one or more base
plates (GP, FGP).
Installation order for base plates (GP/FGP)
When extending the VS, the base plates for double solenoid valves must be mounted
before those for single solenoid valves.
The maximum number of 24 valve solenoids (HF04, 25-pin) or 32 valve solenoids (HF04-XF/
HF03-LG/HF02-LG, 44-pin) which can be controlled limits the maximum number of base plates
(GP/FGP). If additional base plates are installed which exceed this amount, the valves placed on
them cannot be controlled electrically.

Mounting base plates (GP/FGP) (example: HF04)
Disassembly
1. Make sure that the system is not under pressure or voltage and remove all connections.
2. Disassemble the VS from the DIN rail/mounting surface.
3. Loosen both of the hexagonal socket-head screws (8) (DIN 912 – M4, wrench size 3) and
remove the P end plate (7).
4. If necessary, remove the base plates (GP/FGP) until the desired installation location has been
reached.
Installation
5. Screw both of the tie rod extensions (3) (included in every base plate (GP/FGP) parts kit) in
the tie rods (2).
Improperly tightened tie rod
Incompletely or improperly tightened tie rods will damage the system.
O
Before assembling the valve block, check whether the tie rod extensions (3) have been
completely screwed in.
