Work sequence
5.1
Zero sequence
Every time the device is switched on, it is recommended to
execute a zero sequence. This is to guarantee that an existing
imbalance of the clamping device is compensated for and that the
machine measuring accuracy remains unchanged.
The zero sequence is started from the start menu via the F2 key,
via the selection of the clamping device and by actuating the
START key (also see 4.2).
5.2
Start monitor
The start monitor is displayed after the wheel balancer has been
switched on.
The different program ranges are called via the function keys 1 to 6.
F1 Basic settings:
Here, the different basic settings can be made before
the first work step, e.g. language selection, dimensi-
onal units.
F2 Zero sequence:
After the machine set-up and after the assembly of
the clamping device, a zero sequence must be exe-
cuted at first.
F3 Calibration sequence:
A calibration sequence was executed in the factory
before the delivery. Another calibration sequence
after the set-up is not necessary.
F4 Wheel data:
Enter the wheel data after clamping the input. Depen-
ding on the machine type, this takes place via the
scanning arms or via a keyboard field input.
The selection of the balancing program is a sub-
function of the wheel data detection.

F5 Balancing:
A change-over to the measuring function takes place
via this functional key. The balancing sequence can
be started here by correctly setting up the wheel data
and the balancing programs.
F6 Process counter:
Counter of the balancing sequences
- total
- since the last calibration
- since the re-start
5.3
Manual wheel data detection
The wheel data detection monitor is reached via the start monitor
and via the functional key F4. Here, it is possible to input the
corresponding data via the functional keys.
As an alternative, it is also possible to use the scanning arm for
determining the wheel data. In order to achieve this, lead the
scanning arm to the corresponding places for the weights to be
attached. Wait until an acoustic signal confirms the taking over of
the data. Repeat this process until all data have been detected.
Functional key assignment
F1 Wheel distance:
Activate the entry for the distance between wheel
and machine housing.
F2 Rim width:
Activate the entry for the rim width (e.g. distance
between the first and the second balancing level).
F3 Rim diameter:
Activate the entry for the rim diameter.
F4 and F5 Change of values:
Change the values for the individually active field.
F6 Change values:
Save the current wheel data and the selected com-
pensation program.
The measuring process is started via the „Start" key at the
operational field.
