pushing out on back side of buckles.)
Donning – Fullface Mask
1. Fully loosen all head straps.
2. Lift the Y-branches of the BT-60 Series tube along with the Fullface
Mask over your head so the Y-branches of the breathing tube are resting
on your shoulders and the faceseal of the Fullface Mask is in front of
you.
3. Hold the front of the Fullface Mask with one hand and the straps away
from the Fullface Mask with the other hand, creating an opening for the
head.
4. Pull the Fullface Mask assembly down over the head with the
headstraps at the back of the head.
5. Place the nose in the nose cup and chin in the chin cup area then
press the Fullface Mask firmly and evenly against the face (Fig.12).
6. Tighten the bottom straps one at a time. Be careful to tighten both
sides equally (Fig. 13).
7. Tighten the remaining straps one at a time. Be careful to tighten both
sides equally (Fig. 14).
Note: You may find it easier to lift the breathing tube over the head so it
rests at the front of the body, which allows the bottom straps to be
tightened more easily (Fig. 15 ). After tightening the straps, lift the
breathing tube over the head so it rests at your back (Fig. 16).
FIT CHECK
Positive Pressure User Seal Check
1. Place the palm of your hand over the exhalation valve and exhale
gently. If Fullface/Half Mask bulges slightly and no air leaks are detected
between your face and the Fullface/Half Mask, a proper fit has been
obtained (See Fig. 17a, 17b or 17c depending on Fullface/Half Mask).
2. If faceseal air leakage is detected, reposition the Fullface/Half Mask
on your face and/or readjust tension of the straps to eliminate the
leakage. Repeat step 1.
Negative Pressure User Seal Check
1. Completely plug the Powered Air Turbo end of the breathing tube with
the palm of your hand (Fig. 18).
2. Inhale gently and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds. If the
Fullface/Half Mask collapses slightly, a proper fit has been obtained.
3. If air leakage is detected, reposition the Fullface/Half Mask on your
face and/or readjust the tension of the straps to eliminate the leakage.
Repeat steps 1-2.
^ If you CANNOT achieve a proper fit DO NOT enter the hazardous
area.
It is recommended that wearers should be fit tested in accordance with
AS/NZS 1715.

Connecting and donning Powered Air Turbo
1. Insert the bottom end of the breathing tube into the outlet of the
Powered Air Turbo and turn the end of the breathing tube to ensure it is
fitted firmly.
2. Switch on the Powered Air Turbo by pressing the on button for 1
second. See TR-602E/TR-802E Powered Air Turbo User Instructions for
information to ensure the Powered Air Turbo is operating correctly. Note:
The BT-60 Series Breathing tube must be connected to the
TR-602E/TR-802E Powered Air Turbo prior to powering on the Powered
Air Turbo in order to activate tight-fitting mode. If the Powered Air Turbo
is powered on prior to connecting the BT-60 Series Breathing Tube the
Powered Air Turbo will operate in loose-fitting mode. To activate
tight-fitting mode the Powered Air Turbo must be turned off and restarted
with the BT-60 Series breathing tube installed Tight-fitting mode is
indicated on the Powered Air Turbo when the Facepiece icon is lit (see
Fig 2). Once the Powered Air Turbo is running in tight-fitting mode it will
remain in tight-fitting mode, even if the breathing tube is removed, as
long as the Powered Air Turbo is not powered down. In tight-fitting mode,
the Powered Air Turbo operates at lower preset speeds designed to be
more comfortable for the Fullface/Half Mask wearer.
3. Adjust and buckle the waist belt with the Powered Air Turbo fitted
comfortably around your waist and ensure the breathing tube is not
twisted.
IN USE
Use in the power off state is not normal. However, reduced protection is
provided to allow safe exit from the contaminated area.
Take care to prevent the breathing tube from becoming looped around
protruding objects

further information.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the cleaning procedures detailed in the User Instructions for
Fullface/Half Mask being used and the TR-602E/TR-802E Powered Air
Turbo.
The breathing tube can be cleaned with a clean cloth dampened with a
mild solution of water and liquid household soap. Do not use petrol,
chlorinated degreasing fluids (such as trichloroethylene), organic
solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean any part of the equipment.
The breathing tube may also be immersed in water.

the TR-602E/TR-802E Powered Air Turbo
