8. Troubleshooting

Fault
MEDUMAT Easy CPR will
not switch on.
Stenosis alarm
(excessive airway
resistance).
Disconnection alarm
(breathing system
interrupted).
< 2.7 bar alarm (oxygen
pressure too low).

MEDUMAT Easy CPR defective.
Battery failing.
Airways obstructed.
Kink or obstruction in ventilation
hose/mask/tube.
Tube incorrectly positioned.
MEDUMAT Easy CPR defective.
Ventilation hose leaking/slipped
out.
Mask/tube incorrectly positioned.
Pressure gauge hose leaking/
slipped out.
MEDUMAT Easy CPR defective.
Oxygen cylinder nearly empty.
Oxygen valve closed.
Pressure reducer defective.
Kink or blockage in oxygen hose. Take corrective action.
Battery failing or fuse defective.
Remedy
Have repaired.
Replace battery in battery compartment
(9.3, page 62).
If ventilator still refuses to switch on,
have internal auxiliary battery replaced
by manufacturer or authorized
specialists.
Remove obstruction.
Remove kink or obstruction; if
necessary replace parts.
Correct tube position.
Have repaired.
Check connections.
Have repaired.
Change O cylinder (4.1, page 18).

Open oxygen valve.
Replace pressure reducer.
Replace battery in battery compartment
(9.3, page 62).
If ventilator still refuses to switch on,
have internal auxiliary battery or fuse
replaced by manufacturer or authorized
specialists.
