3. TUNING
The Tuning function is to fine-tune the system auto-adjusted preset pressure. Three Tuning levels
are available. "0" is system auto-adjusted preset pressure. "+" is one level higher than preset
pressure, and "-" is one level lower than preset pressure.
NOTE: The Tuning function is available in Alternating, Alternating Low Pressure and Continuous Low
Pressure mode.
NOTE: Always perform a hand-check after pressure setting to prevent the patient from bottoming out.
4. Cycle Time
There are four selectable cycle times can be found on the control panel. By pressing the button, user
can select one of four cycle times based upon patient comfort and desired outcome.
5. Modes
Each button allows you to choose one of the modes. There are four selectable modes available. Press the
button to select the desired mode:
5.1 Alternate Mode
Alternating

Pressure
5.2 Continuous Low Pressure Mode
Constantly non-alternating mode. The system will redistribute body mass over a greater surface area
at a constant low pressure. All of the air cells are equally inflated at lower pressure when compared
to the respective comfort level in alternating mode.
5.3 Max Firm
The surface will go into Max Firm automatically when the power switch is turned on. This ensures the
pump is able to reach its maximum operating pressure. Once the max pressure level is reached, the
pump will automatically switch into Auto-Adjust mode. User can also use this function during patient
transfers or nursing procedures for better support. This mode will last for 20 minutes and then it will
return to previous setting automatically. To disable this function, press Max Firm button again.
NOTE: Max Firm and preset function mode LED indicator will be on simultaneously during initial
mattress inflation until the mattress reaches its maximum pressure.
6. Panel Lock
If the control panel remains untouched for 5 minutes, a green LED will light and the control panel will
lock all settings. This will prevent the settings from being accidently changed during normal
operation. To unlock, simply press the panel lock button for three seconds.
