Before you start measuring, please attach the ambient light measuring head on the
limiting aperture of the i1Pro 3 device. If you own multiple devices make sure that the
serial number on the ambient light measuring head matches the serial number of your
i1Pro 3 device. The ambient light measuring head can also be used in conjunction with
the tripod holder.
1. Check that the instrument is calibrated to measure ambient light. (i.e. pulsating
white when ambient measurement mode is selected.) Calibrating ambient has
to be performed on white calibration base. The ambient light measuring head is
stored in the ambient head storage case.
2. Attach the ambient light measuring head on the limiting aperture of the i1Pro
3 device. The arrow on the ambient light measuring head must point to the
"unlocked" marking on the i1Pro 3 device.
3. Rotate the ambient light measuring head clockwise until it stops. The arrow will
stop slightly beyond the "locked" mark on the i1Pro 3 device.
4. Configure your application software to ambient light measurement mode and
press the measurement button on the device to take measurements.
NOTE: Ambient light cannot be measured in M3 mode.
