This part contains an overview of
these instructions for use, along

on the BMW Motorrad commu-
nication system. Before you can
use your communication system
as described in part 2, you must
pair the devices as described in
part 3 (
20). It is important
to comply with the instructions
for care and maintenance of the
rechargeable batteries in part 4
(
28).
You can also consult the index at
the end of these instructions for
use if you want to find a particu-
z
lar item of information quickly.
If, at some stage, you decide to
sell your BMW Motorrad com-
munication system, please re-
member to hand over these in-
structions for use; they are an
important part of this system.

BMW Motorrad
communication system
The BMW Motorrad communic-
ation system enables wireless
voice communication between
two helmet units on the basis
of the Bluetooth radio standard.
Consequently, it is also possible
to connect to other Bluetooth-
compatible devices such as mo-
bile phones, MP3 players or nav-
igation systems. The maximum
range over which devices can
reliably communicate is approx-
imately ten metres.
