WARNING
The vibration and noise emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in accordance with a standardized
test given in EN 62841 and may be used to compare one tool with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of
exposure.
The declared vibration and noise emission level represents the main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used for
diff erent applications, with diff erent accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration and noise emission may diff er. This may
signifi cantly increase the exposure level over the total working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration and noise should also take into account the times when the tool is switched
off or when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may signifi cantly reduce the exposure level over the total working
period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the eff ects of vibration and/or noise such as: maintain the tool
and the accessories, keep the hands warm, organization of work patterns.

SAFETY WARNINGS MAGNETIC CORE DRILLING
MACHINE
Always use the protective shields on the machine. Always
wear goggles when using the machine. It is recommended
to wear gloves, sturdy non slipping shoes and apron.
Chips and splinters must not be removed while the machine
is running.
Do not drill the housing, as the protective insulation would
be rendered ineff ective. Use adhesive labels.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the machine.
Only plug-in when machine is switched off .
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the machine.
Always lead the cable away behind you.
Secure the magnetic drill stand with the provided chain
when working slanting or vertical surfaces, or overhead
such that it won't fall down in case of power loss.
The safety chain must be applied such that the drill stand
will move away from the user in case of power loss.

The maximum retaining power is reached when using steel
with a low carbon content and a material thickness of at
least 12 mm.
Do not expose the drill stand to rain and do not use in damp
or non-fl ameproof rooms.
Never reach into the danger area of the machine when it is
running.
Do not use a damaged accessory.
Clamp or otherwise secure the workpiece. To reduce the
risk of injury, do not hold workpiece by hand.
WARNING! Wet connections are shock hazards.
Do not use cutting fl uid in an overhead or any other position
that allows cutting fl uid to enter motor or switch enclosure.
Do not let any metal parts enter the airing slots - danger of
short circuit!
SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
The drill stand is suited for drilling large holes in steel and
other ferroginous metals. It is possible to use the magnetic
drill stand while arc-welding.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for
normal use.
MAINS CONNECTION
Connect only to a single-phase Milwaukee current supply
and only to the mains voltage specifi ed on the rating plate.
Must only be used from sockets with earth wire.
Pre-connect a residual current device (FI, RCD, PRCD.
Only plug-in when machine is switched off .
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the machine.
Always lead the cable away behind you.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
Motor protection device controlled by motor load. The
machine will slowly continue to run in order to cool the motor
down. After suffi cient cooling machine can be restarted by
switching off and on again.

ADVICE FOR OPERATION
If the machine is not used for a longer period while the
magnetic fi eld is activated, a short-interval signal tone
indicates this state every 5 minutes.
Drilling in thin steel and non-ferrous metals
The maximum retaining power is reached when using steel
with a low carbon content and a material thickness of at
least 12 mm.
When drilling in steel with a thickness of less than 6 mm or
in non-ferrous metals a steel plate of at least 250 x 250 x 12
mm has to be fi xed on the workpiece. The drill stand can
then be put onto this plate.
Drilling in rounded and heavily dented materials
Apply the drill stand with the longer side of the magnetic foot
parallel to the axis of the workpiece.
Fill the free space underneath the magnetic foot with steel
wedges or steel bars such that as many lines of magnetic
force as possible will run from the magnetic cores via the
workpiece to the magnetic foot.
In doing so the axis of the drill must be pointed exactly to
the centre of the workpiece or the drill might move slightly
laterally.
The substrate under the drill stand has to be clean, fi rm,
smooth, dry, without polish and not have any holes in it.
Do not expose the drill stand to rain and do not use in damp
or non-fl ameproof rooms.
Keep constant pressure throughout the entire operation to
prevent chips and burrs from falling under the cutting edges.
Cutting debris under the cutter can make cutting diffi cult or
impossible.
WARNING!
Excessive force will break magnet free.
Avoid contact with cutter tips. Periodically inspect the cutter
tips for loose or damaged tips.
The use of cutting fl uid is recommended for long life of these
cutters.
Secure the magnetic drill stand with the provided safety
harness when working slanting or vertical surfaces, or
overhead such that it won't fall down in case of power loss.
The safety harness must be applied such that the drill stand
will move away from the user in case of power loss.
Check safety belt for any damage and wear before every
use. Do not use defective safety belts!
The insertion tool may become hot during use.
WARNING! Danger of burns
• when changing tools
• when setting the device down
Do not remove cutter unless slug is removed. Slug may
eject unexpectedly.
MAINTENANCE
From time to time, apply a few drops of oil to the rack
toothing. The bearings of the feed shaft are self-cutting and
must not be greased.
Grease the sliding surface of the carriage with Molykote
grease.
Before use check machine, cable, safety harness and plug
for any damages or material fatigue. Repairs should only be
carried out by authorised Service Agents.
The ventilation slots of the machine must be kept clear at all
times.
Clean dust and debris from tool. Keep tool handles clean,
dry and free of oil or grease. Use only mild soap and a
damp cloth to clean the tool since certain cleaning agents
and solvents are harmful to plastics and other insulated
