Installation and electrical connection

Newly supplied mixers can be stored for one year. Contact customer service before storing
the mixer for more than one year.
Observe the following points regarding storage:
ƒ
Place the mixer (horizontally) on a firm surface and secure it against slipping and falling
over!
CAUTION! Do not set the mixer down on the propeller. To do so will damage the pro-
peller or shaft! In the case of larger propeller diameters, ensure an appropriate
pedestal is provided.
ƒ
The max. storage temperature is -15 °C to 60 °C (5 °F to 140 °F). The max. humidity is
90 %, non-condensing. We recommend frost-free storage. Ambient temperature: 5 to
25 °C (41 to 77 °F), relative humidity: 40 to 50 %.
ƒ
Do not store the mixer in rooms in which welding is carried out. The resulting gases or ra-
diation could corrode the elastomer parts and coatings.
ƒ
Protect connection cable against kinking and damage. Observe the bend radius!
ƒ
Protect the PUR and GRP propeller from direct exposure to sunlight. The extreme heat
can cause damage to the propeller!
ƒ
Turn the propeller at regular intervals (twice a year). This prevents jamming of the bear-
ings and it renews the film of lubrication on the mechanical seal. WARNING! There is a
risk of injury due to sharp edges on the propeller!
ƒ
The elastomer parts and coatings become brittle over time. When stored for more than
6 months, customer service must be consulted.
Following storage, clean the dust and oil from the mixer and check the coating for damage.
Repair damaged coatings before further use.
ƒ
Electrical work: qualified electrician
Someone with suitable technical training, knowledge and experience who can identify
and avoid the dangers associated with electricity.
ƒ
Installation/dismantling work: trained sewage technology professional
Fixation and pipework in wet well and dry well installation, lifting equipment, basic
knowledge of wastewater facilities.
ƒ
Lifting work: trained professional for operating lifting devices
Lifting equipment, lifting gear, attachment points
ƒ
Observe locally applicable accident prevention and safety regulations.
ƒ
Observe all regulations for working with and underneath heavy suspended loads.
ƒ
Provide protective equipment. Ensure that personnel wear the protective equipment.
ƒ
Demarcate the working area.
ƒ
Unauthorized persons must be kept away from the working area.
ƒ
If the weather conditions (e.g. ice formation, strong wind) mean it is no longer possible to
work safely, stop all work.
ƒ
Observe the local regulations of sewage technology for the operation of sewage systems.
ƒ
To allow the product to be fixed securely and functionally, the structural components
and foundations must be of sufficient stability. The operator is responsible for the provi-
sion and suitability of the structural components and foundations!
ƒ
Check that the available consulting documents (installation plans, installation site, inflow
conditions) are complete and correct.
ƒ
Flexible installation with lowering device as stand unit
