• Heating in Tr Mode
Select the Tr button to open a similar numeric key-
pad and enter the desired temperature of the reactor
contents. While in Tr mode, the jacket temperature
Tj is also monitored and recorded.
• Press Start to start the temperature ramp.
• The Advanced button opens the menu to enter heat-
ing or cooling ramps. The desired end temperature
of the reactor contents can be approached over
a predefined length of time or at a given rate. The
start of a ramp may be postponed.
• Heating in Tj Mode
Identical features for controlling the jacket tempera-
ture can be accessed by selecting the Tj button.
While in Tj mode, the temperature of the reactor
contents Tr is also monitored and recorded.
• Press Start to start the temperature ramp.
• Distillation or Crystallization Mode
Temperature difference Tj-Tr (Distillation mode) or
Tr-Tj (Crystallization mode).
• To reflux a reaction mixture or perform a distillation,
set a temperature difference (Tj-Tr) and a maximum
end temperature (Tj end), not an absolute tempera-
ture.
• For a crystallization, define a temperature difference
(Tr-Tj).
