Clean the top surface of the cap by rolling the
cleaning roller.
(1) Roll the roller back and forth on each cap.
(2) Then roll the roller back and forth 10 times on each cap.
- The cleaning roller is intended for a single use
only. Use a new cleaning roller for each cleaning.
Note
- Be careful so that the cap cleaning liquid does not
adhere to any part other than the cap.

Close the capping cover and the front cover.
The print head returns automatically to the home
position.
Note
- Be sure to unlock the stopper before closing the capping
cover. If you try to close the capping cover without
unlocking the stopper, the stopper may bend, or the
bent stopper may touch the carriage, which may damage
the Printer.
- If you still see the missing dots even after the cap
cleaning above, while checking visually remove foreign
matters and ink stains from the cap with a cleaning
swab dampened with cap cleaning liquid.

bottle is displayed.
Check ink remaining in the reservoirs
Check that enough ink remains in the reservoirs. If the ink level in
a reservoir is below the edge of the bulk system case, set a new
bottle to supply ink in that reservoir.
Note
- Do not supply more ink when the ink level inside a
reservoir has reached the FULL indication line. Otherwise,
the ink may spill out of the reservoir.
- Do not let the ink level go under the edge of the bulk ink
system case. If the reservoirs get empty, air will enter the
ink tubes, which may cause print defects.
- When it is difficult to see the level of ink inside the
reservoirs (for black or cyan color), you may compare
the reservoir weight with that of a reservoir containing
a color easy to check, such as yellow, to determine if ink
needs to be supplied.
