7. Installation
7.1 Pump location
The pump should be sited in a dry, well ventilated,
but frost-free location.
Warning
When pumping hot liquids, care should
be taken to ensure that persons cannot
accidentally come into contact with hot
surfaces.
For inspection, the following clearance is recom-
mended:
Vertical installation
• 300 mm above the motor for motors of 3-4 kW
• 1 metre above the motor for motors of 5.5 kW and
up to permit the use of lifting equipment, if
required.

• 300 mm behind the motor for motors of 3-4 kW
• 300 mm behind the motor and at least 1 metre
above the motor for motors of 5.5 kW and up to
permit the use of lifting equipment, if required.

7.2 Connection
The pump should never be installed with the motor
pointing downwards.

Connection
If the pump has been installed with the terminal box
pointing downwards, turn the motor to the required
position.
The terminal box can be turned in 90° steps.
Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the coupling guards. Do not remove the
coupling.
2. Remove the bolts securing the motor to the
pump.
3. Turn the motor to the required position.
4. Replace and tighten the bolts.
5. Replace the coupling guards.
