6 Putting into operation
The position of the wire feeder (1) results from the position of the robot.
9 Tighten fastening screws at the wire feeder (1) .
WARNING
The iCAT as EMERGENCY STOP is designed exclusively for material safety.
It is no safeguard for human life.
10Mount control lead of the iCAT WH for the EMERGENCY STOP switch at the wire feed unit.
6.4 Replacing the cable assembly
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
The following instructions must be adhered to throughout all maintenance, servicing,
assembly, disassembly and repair work:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Close off the coolant supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
6.4.1 Dismounting the cable assembly
NOTICE
• When mounting liquid-cooled ROBO WH cable assemblies, make sure that the mounting
bores for the water nipples and the O-rings are lubricated.
• When mounting liquid-cooled ROBO WH cable assemblies, make sure that the water
nipples in the ROBO WH welding torch interface are inserted correctly into the cable
assembly adapter. Observe the forced positioning.
• After mounting is complete, check for any leaks.
• When mounting liquid- and air-cooled cable assemblies, make sure that all lines (control
lead, water hoses, gas/compressed air lines) are installed without torsion and with
sufficient clearance.
