Troubleshooting
All extraordinary maintenance operations must be carried out by a mechanical or electrical / elec-
tronic maintenance technician.
FAULT
The shear does not work
The shear has no power
When pulling the operating lever, air comes out
If the above-mentioned remedies do not solve the problem, contact an Authorised Service Point.
Improper uses
-
Never use the tool when your balance is unstable.
-
Never cut materials being other than wood.
-
Never use the tool as a lever or for lifting, moving or breaking any objects.

Never use the tool if the atmosphere is explosive or inflammable.
Tool transport
Disconnect the tool from the air supply before carrying it. In case of long transports keep the tool in its packaging.
Routine maintenance
•
Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the tool from the compressed air hose.
•
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed by a CAM-
PAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service Point.
General information
Before any maintenance operation:
•
Disconnect the air hose.
•
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
•
Do not use hydraulic oil or brake fluid. These may cause irreparable damages to the equipment.
Periodically check the oil level in the compressor lubricator
•
Lubrication
•
Every 20 working hours lubricate the inner part of the fitting (16) with an oiler.
•
Every 20 working hours lubricate the conrod (11) with an oiler. When carrying out this operation, wear heavy-duty
protective gloves and manually close the blades till the conrod (11) protrudes.
Blade group adjustment
•
Gradually tighten the screw (10) up to proper operation.
Adjusting the blade closing
•
Every 2 working hours sharpen the blade cutting edge (4) by means of an adequate filing stone. See Image G.
The sharpening filing angle must be 45°

REMEDY
•
Check the air compressor for proper functioning (read the corre-
sponding documentation).
•
Check the air supply (see par. 4.1).
•
Check the air hose for cleanness (see par. 4.1).
•
Check the blade pin is not too tight.
•
Check the compressor air pressure.
•
Check the extension pole grip seal wear and tear.
