5.6 Cutting depth setting

The cutting depth can be set continuously in a range between 0 and 57 mm [0 to 2.24 in].
Use the following procedure to set the cutting
depth:
1.
Loosen the wing screw (5).
2.
Use the scale on the inside of the gear housing
to set the cutting depth.
The beveled edge of the gear housing is
the depth indicator.
3.
Tighten the wing screw (5).
The cutting depth is set.
For separating cuts, always set the
cutting depth to approx. 2 ... 5 mm
[0.08 ... 0.2 in] more than the
material thickness you want to cut.

5.7 Setting the cutting length

A cutting length of up to 1300 mm [51.2 in] can be set with the guide rail. A continuously adjusted cutting length
of to 3100 mm [122 in] can be set with the guide rail extension.
Use the following procedure to adjust the cutting
length:
1.
Loosen the knurled screw on the stop slide 7.
2.
Move the stop slide 7 (with the knurled screw in
the groove of the guide rail) to a position that is
ca. 120 mm [4.72 in] further from the saw blade
than the desired cutting length.
3.
Tighten the knurled screw on the stop slide 7.
The cutting length is set.

Caution
Risk of injury when the saw blade is not completely covered.
The saw blade will not return to its home position at the end of a cut if the
stop slide is not correctly set. Personal injuries may result as the saw blade
is not completely covered.
Ensure the stop slide is correctly set.
