• Hydrostatic drive engagement / disengagement lever

Drive engaged :
Transmission disengaged:
IMPORTANT To avoid damaging the drive unit, this opera-
tion should only be carried out with the engine stopped, with the
pedal (fig. 10.J) in neutral.
IMPORTANT The engagement/disengagement lever must
never be in the intermediate position. This condition will cause
overheating and damage the transmission.
• Cutting means engage and disengage command
(Fig. 10.B)
Cutting means engaged. Pulled mushroom
switch
Cutting means disengaged. Pressed mushroom
switch
• Button for consent of reverse gear cutting (Fig. 10.F)
Press and hold the button to reverse while the
cutting means are engaged, without causing
the engine to stop
• Cutting height adjustment (Fig. 10.G)
To move from one position to another, the lever
must be moved sideways and repositioned in
one of the stop notches.
• Indicator light and acoustic warning device (only for
models with rear grass catcher )
1. The indicator light (Fig. 10.C) illuminates when the key
(Fig. 10.A) is in the "RUN" position and remains lit during
operation.
2. When it flashes, it means that there is no engine start
consent.
3. The acoustic signal warns that the grass catcher is full.
• Tipping lever for grass catcher (if available, only for
models with rear grass catcher)
This lever, removable from its seat, allows the grass catcher
to be overturned for emptying, reducing the effort required
by the operator (fig. 10.H).

5. USING THE MACHINE

5.1. PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
• Filling with oil and fuel
IMPORTANT The machine is supplied without engine oil or
fuel.
Check if there is fuel and check the oil level before using the
machine. For methods and precautions on refuelling and
topping up oil, follow the instructions in the engine handbook.
• Seat adjustment
See figure 11.
• Tyre pressure
1. Connect a compressed air gun with a pressure gauge to
the wheel valve (fig. 12).
2. Adjust the pressure according to the values indicated in
the "Technical Data" chart.
• Preparing the machine before starting work
NOTE This machine can be used to mow lawns in a number
of different ways; before starting, prepare the machine based on
how the lawn is to be mowed.
1. Prepare the machine for cutting and lateral grass discharge
(for models with side discharge only) (fig. 13 - 14).
2. Pre-set for cutting and chopping grass in the grass catcher
(only for models with rear grass catcher) (fig. 15).
3. Preparation for mowing and rear grass discharge (models
with rear grass catcher only) (fig. 16)
4. Preparation for grass mowing and chopping (only with
corresponding kit for "mulching").
• Positioning the anti-scalping wheels
1. For models with side discharge (fig. 17).
2. For models with rear collection (fig. 18).
