To use a curved transducer in Needle Profiling mode
1 In 2D imaging, tap Needle Profiling

2 Ensure that the target is within the enhancement area (that is, within the outline) and that the
needle, when inserted, will approach the angle guide (dashed line) perpendicularly.

Tap Left or Right if you need to flip the image horizontally.
If this control is hidden, tapping

Tap Shallow , Medium
The needle angle setting determines the location of the angle guide (dashed angled line).
Use the following table to determine the needle angle setting to use. Needle angles are
measured in relation to the surface of the transducer.
