The auger group has 3 positions:
• Lifted: to use with deep snow or for trasporting the
snow thrower
• On ground: to use in normal working conditions
• Floating: to use in uneven ground conditions
IMPORTANT Carried out the operation when the rotat-
ing device is stationary.
When not in use, the auger group must be
completely on the ground

USING THE MACHINE

IMPORTANT For instructions regarding the engine
read the relevant manual.
5.1. PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES
• Filling up with oil and fuel
IMPORTANT The machine is supplied without en-
gine oil or fuel.
Refuelling shall take place with the machine
switched off and the spark plug cable
disconnected.
Proceed to refuel and check/top-up engine oil according
to the procedures and precautions outlined in the engine
instruction manual.

5.2. SAFETY CHECKS

Always carry out the safety checks before use.
• General check
Object
Fuel lines and connections. No leaks.
Electrical cables.
Oil lines
Test driving
• Traction and auger operation test.
Action
Start the machine
(section 5.2 );
Traction operation test
Press the forward
control (fig. 6.D).
Release the forward
control (fig. 6.D).
Auger operation test
Press the auger
control (fig. 6.C)

Result
All insulation intact.
No mechanical damage.
No leaks.
No damage.
No abnormal vibrations.
No abnormal sound.
Result
The wheels and the auger
must remain stationary.
The wheels and
the track move the
snowplough forward.
The wheels and
the track stop.
The auger starts rotating.
Action
Release the auger control. The auger stops

Keeping
the
control pressed (fig. 6.D),
press the auger control
(fig. 6.C).
Release the auger control
(fig. 6.C).
Release
the
control (fig. 6.D).
If any of the results fail to match the indications
provided in the tables, do not use the machine!
Contact a service centre to have it checked and
repaired if necessary.
5.3. START-UP AND WORK
• Open the fuel tap (fig. 5.B).
• Insert the starter/safety key (fig. 5.A).
• Cold start
Move the throttle control to full capacity (fig. 5.C).

Engage the choke (fig. 5.D).

Press the primer control (fig. 5.E) .

Start with the electrical (fig. 5.G) or manual (fig. 5.F)

Disengage the choke (fig. 5.D).

IMPORTANT Before operating the machine, wait for a
few minutes for the oil to warm up.
• Warm start
Move the throttle control to full capacity (fig. 5.C).

Check that the choke is disengaged (fig. 5.D).

Start with the electrical or manual contro.

IMPORTANT Do not press the primer for warm start.
• Manual starting (fig. 5.F)
Pull the lever outwards
NOTE Do not try more than 3/4 times, otherwise the
engine may be flooded. Check the potential causes of
failure to start in the "Problems identification table".
• Electrical starts (fig. 5.G)
Make sure that the power supply system is
equipped with grounding and protection
system.
Insert the plug of the power supply cable (fig. 5.H) in

a 230 V power socket.
Press the start button (fig. 5.G) to start the engine.

Once the engine starts, remove the plug from the

power supply.
