Positioning the Booster Seat
If the lower anchors in your vehicle prevent proper vehicle belt fit across your child you cannot
use LATCH to position this seat. See below.
Lower anchors can be used to secure the child seat to the vehicle seat even when unoccupied,
since in a crash an unsecured child restraint system may injure occupants. Secure your child
using the vehicle's lap-shoulder belt system.

Lower connectors are not required for proper seat installation. If lower connectors are not used,
ensure they are properly stored in the seat base and do not interfere with the base of the booster
seat.
1. Verify the booster seat is compatible with your vehicle. Refer to
pages 30 - 31 for information about compatible seat belts
and head restraints.
a. Push the booster seat against the vehicle seat back and
ensure that it is positioned correctly so the vehicle head
restraint allows the backrest to lie flat against the vehicle
seat back. Vehicle head restraint may need to be adjusted or
removed. See page 30 for more information.
b. Ensure that the base of the booster seat does not hang over
the edge of the vehicle seat.
2. If the vehicle seat back is adjustable, ensure it is in the upright
position before placing the booster seat on the vehicle seat
(see page 12).
3. Push the lower connector release button and pull lower
connector to fully extend the lower connector adjuster strap.
Repeat on the opposite side to ensure that all slack has been
released from the lower connector system.
