OPERATION
To test/operate the transfer switch in the "OFF"
position (center):
l Make sure that the circuit breakers in the load center,
including the main breaker, are in the on position.
l Place one or all of the transfer switch's circuit selectors
in the "OFF" position (center).
l Verify that the branch circuits are not receiving utility or
generator power.
l If a problem occurs, turn power off at the load center's
main breaker and contact a qualified electrician.
RESETTING THE TRANSFER SWITCH'S
CIRCUIT BREAKERS
See Figure 25.
If a generator has enough wattage capacity, all of
the transfer circuits can be used simultaneously. If
an electrical load exceeds the transfer switch's load
capacity, the circuit breakers inside the switch may trip
To reset a circuit breaker:
l Remove the overload condition.
l Move the circuit selector beside the tripped breaker into
the "OFF" position (center).
l Move the tripped breaker into the full off position then to
the fully on position.

l Move the circuit selector beside the breaker back to the
"GEN" position and resume operation.
l If a problem occurs, turn power off at the load center's
main breaker and contact a qualified electrician.
