(10) Adjusting the remaining amount of the gimp (J and C types)

1) Loosen setscrew 1 and move to and fro gmp gude 2 to adjust the remanng amount of the gmp at
the sewng end.
2) For the adjustment, actually sew the remander of the materal or the lke and determne the poston of
gmp gude 2 so that the remanng length of the gmp s approxmately 4 mm at the sewng end.
There is a case where the remaining amount of gimp is not stable when sewing thread or the like is
used for the gimp. In this case, insert the gimp in the gimp presser plate 3 .

Loosen double nut 5 to adjust the tenson. The
standard adjustment value s 2 mm.
When double nut 5 s tghtened, the gmp tenson
becomes hgher and the length of remanng thread
at the tme of looper thread trmmng becomes

shorter. On the contrary, the length of remanng gmp
becomes unstable, or the looper thread trmmng
knfe may cut the sttches or materals n case of lght-
weght materals or elastc sewng products.

stretchy sewing products, loosen nut 5
and fix it.

adjustment value is 2 mm. Nut 5 consists
of a double nut for locking.
