5) Press the start swtch. When the cut-before knfe s used, and the poston of the feed base s not n the
poston of the knfe, the feed base moves to that of the knfe.
6) Press the start swtch. When the cut-before knfe s used, the cloth cuttng knfe works.
7) Press the start swtch. The cloth open mechansm s opened.
8) Press the start swtch. The feed base travels to the sewng start poston and the buzzer beeps.
9) Turn the handwheel n the drecton of the arrow mark. The feed base nterlockng wth the needle
poston travels sttch by sttch.
Turn the handwheel and when the feed base comes to the sewng end poston, the buzzer beeps.
10) It s possble to make the feed base only travel up to the sewng end poston usng [FORWARD
5 or [BACK ] key 6 .
11) Every tme the start swtch s pressed, the feed base travels and needle thread trmmng operaton or
looper thread trmmng operaton s performed step by step. When the after-cut knfe s used, the cloth
cuttng knfe operaton s performed step by step.
12) When temporarly stoppng the change, press [RESET
poston.
Be sure to turn the handwheel in the normal direction since the feed mechanism does not perform
the receding operation even when the handwheel is turned in the reverse direction.
1) Press [KNIFE
The knfe does not work when the LED goes out.
2) Press [KNIFE
lght up and the knfe can be operated.

[AUTO mode]
Lower the presser foot, press the start swtch, and a
sequence of operaton such as drve of cloth cuttng
knfe, sewng, thread trmmng, etc. s performed.
Ths s the normal sewng mode.
[MANUAL mode]
Ths operaton mode s an operatng procedure to
turn the handwheel by hand wthout rotatng the
sewng machne so that a step operaton whch
makes the feed base travel sttch by sttch s
performed. In addton, the knfe operaton, and
the thread trmmng operaton can be performed
step by step.
1) Make sure that sewng LED 3 has gone out.
When t lghts up, press [READY
make t go out.
2) Press [AUTO
3) Press [READY
3 and to make the sewng possble.
4) Lower the presser wth the presser swtch.
] key 1 to make the LED go out.

• When sewing LED 3 goes out, press
[ A U T O ] k e y 1 t o c h a n g e t h e
operation mode.
• The machine works in [MANUAL mode]
when the AUTO LED 2 goes out, and in
[AUTO mode] when the AUTO LED lights up.
