Memo in/Locate function
∑ To return to the point where you
want playback to restart
1. Press the [memo in] button in the pause
mode or during playback to set the
Locate point you want playback to
restart from in memory (LOC lights).
2. Press the [locate] button during
playback (while LOC lights) to skip to
the Locate point where you want
playback to restart. Playback starts
from that point.
● Press the [TLM] button for more than 2
seconds (TLM starts blinking) after
setting the Locate point (LOC lights),
then press the [locate] button (TLM
lights up). The Locate point becomes
the TLM point, allowing timer playback
to start from the middle of a track.
* TLM is an abbreviation of Timer Locate
Memory.
● Press the [check] button to display the
Locate point (LOC blinks).
● In the shuffle, program or delete mode,
the memo in/locate function is unavail-
able. If lit, LOC will be turned off when
these modes are engaged. When these
modes are released, the memo in or
locate function is resumed.
● When the disc tray is opened, or when
the [memo in] button is pressed again,
the Locate point will be erased from
memory.
Timer playback
∑ To start timer playback from the
desired track (TLM)
You can start timer playback from a
desired track at a specified time when this
player is connected to the optional timer.

1. Connect the power cord to the timer
(see below).

2. Turn on the timer and each compo-
nent's power.
3. Set the amplifier to the proper mode.

4. Load a disc into the unit. Press the
[TLM] button for more than 2 seconds in
the stop mode (TLM blinks), then select
the desired track for timer playback by
using the numeric buttons (TLM lights
up).
5. Set the preset time for playback to start
and for the power to turn off. (Each
component's power is turned off.)
6. Power to each component will be
turned on at the time preset on the
audio timer and playback will start
from the specified track automatically.
● You can set TLM mode ON and OFF with
the [TLM] button.
● When the shuffle mode is engaged
during the TLM mode, shuffle playback
starts after the track specified in the
TLM function is played.
● When the [check] button is pressed,
TLM blinks and the specified track is
displayed.
● TLM memory is retained even when the
power is cut off. When you want to
erase the TLM memory, open the tray
by pressing the [open/close] button.

Time Counter Display
Press the [time] button during playback to
display the elapsed time and remaining
time of the track being played.
● Press the [time] button in the stop mode
to display the total disc playback time
and the total number of tracks on the
disc for about several seconds.
● Press the [time] button in the stop mode
of programmed playback to display the
program information (the total number
of programmed tracks and the total
program playback time).

Press the [time] button to erase the time
mode indication.
The elapsed time of the track being played
is then displayed in minutes and seconds.
∑ Remaining time display (REMAIN)
Press the [time] button to light REMAIN up.
This provides an easy check of the total
remaining time of the track being played.
∑ Total remaining time display (TOTAL
REMAIN)
Press the [time] button to light TOTAL
REMAIN up.
This provides an easy check of the total
remaining time required to finish the disc.
● When a "pause" is programmed within
the program, the remaining time up to
the point at which "pause" is
programmed will be displayed.
● During program playback, the TOTAL
REMAIN time display shows the total
remaining time of the programmed
tracks, from the current position.
