How to use OS point
This unit combines an FIR digital filter and
a running average circuit, allowing you to
select the optimum oversampling mode for
CD playback.
Each press of the [OS point] button
changes the display as follows.
8 fs
16 fs
8fs
: 8-times oversampling
16fs : 16-times oversampling (8-times
oversampling is multiplied using a
simplified running average circuit.)
sin
: 12/24-times oversampling (8-times
oversampling is multiplied using a
built-in sine-wave running average
circuit. Interpolation is placed on
the sine waves to limit phase
distortion to a minimum during
analog interpolation in the
subsequent stage.)
How to use DF range
Press the [DF range] button to switch the
higher frequency response of the digital
filter during music playback.
wide
: gradually
frequencies at 19 kHz or over.
standard : sharply attenuates frequencies
over 20 kHz.
Volume control (output: [–/+])
Using the output buttons or the digital
OS point
volume control, the volume of the OUTPUT
jacks can be controlled. (OUTPUT lights
up)
When the [–] button is kept pressed, or
when the dial is turned all the way down,
"--dB" is displayed.
When the [+] button is kept pressed, or
when the dial is turned all the way up, the
display returns to "0dB".

Fade In/Fade Out
During the playback mode, press the
[fader] button.
The player will fade out gradually and the
player enters the pause mode.
During the pause or muting mode, press
the [fader] button again; the player will
fade in gradually. (ƒ indicator lights.)
OUTPUT lights / FADER blinks in the
display.
sin
● The fade in/out function is available
only when a LINE OUT connection is
used.
Muting operation
When the [muting] button is pressed, the
output signal is muted (sound from the
speaker is cut) (MUTING lights). OUTPUT
and "--db" are indicated in the display.
● A few seconds later, the INDEX
indicator will reappear.
● To release the muting mode, press the
[muting] button or [output] button After
displaying the output level, the playback
information will reappear in the display.
● Be careful not to adjust the volume level
too high while sound is muted;
otherwise, the sudden excessively high
volume level may damage the speakers
when muting is released.

Display Function
When the [display] button is pressed
during playback, all the display indicators
that are lit go off except the power
indicator lamp.
Even when this is done, the player will
continue playback.
● When this function is activated, if any
operation button is pressed, the display
will come on for approx. 3 seconds.
