INSTALLATION
4.1
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Installation of the actuator must be made exclusively
by qualified technical personnel in possession of the
professional requisites foreseen by the legislation in
force in the country of installation.
By law, the installer is solely responsible for startup of
the automation.
Before installing the actuator always check:
&
- that all the performance features of the actuator stated
in the technical data table are sufficient to ensure correct
movement of the window based on its type, size and
weight;
- that the window to be automated is in good mechanical
conditions and that the manual opening and closing
movements are free of any friction and hindrances;
- that the windows to be automated are equipped on both
sides with two compass limit stops or alternative safety
device to prevent accidental falling of the window;
- that during installation of the actuator appropriate
measures are applied to prevent the hazards related to
opening and closing the window, and that there is no
danger of entrapment between the movable parts of the
window and the fixed surroundings (walls, panels, etc.);
- that on windows with outward opening or cupolas, the
surface for fastening the snap fastener is perfectly flat
and/or leveled;
- that the working temperature of the actuator declared in
the table of technical data is compatible with the climatic
conditions in which the actuator is installed.
It is strictly prohibited to install the actuator on the outside
&
of windows subject to atmospheric agents.
It is also prohibited to use the actuator in rooms with a
&
potentially explosive atmosphere.
The safety of the final installation is subject to certain
&
legislative requisites. To satisfy these requisites, we have
listed below some of the requisites that the installer must
satisfy to guarantee safe installation:
- installation on windows over 2.5 m with respect to an
accessible floor: no particular requisites or limitations.
- installation on a window below 2.5 m: possibility of using all
the strokes but with the limitation of manual control only with
constant pressure. If it should be necessary to use the 300
mm stroke, it is not possible to use automatic control units or
remote controls (such as rain-wind-light sensors) unless
effective anti-entrapment safety systems are used. The
"dead man" (constant pressure) control must be positioned in
a place that is not accessible to persons not instructed about
use of the device and at a height of at least 1.5 m unless it is a
key switch. The switch must move only the windows directly
and completely visible by the operator from the position in
which he is standing, without intermediate obstacles that
could interfere with the view (plants, low walls, furniture).
C20
EN
To use the C20 actuator with automatic control units or
remote controls, the installer must necessarily take care
to use only stroke 1 (200mm) blocking the stroke
selector with the specific stop provided (fig.39).
