Periodic Maintenance
Risk of damage to equipment.
•
Do not wash unit with a hose or pressure washer. The VFD is rated to UL TYPE 3R to prevent entry of environmental water,
but washing with a hose or pressure washer can damage the unit.
IMPORTANT: Verify the drive door is closed during storage.
Air Filter Replacement
Risk of damage to equipment.
•
Do not operate the VFD with fan filters removed. This can result in dust entering, thereby damaging the unit.
•
Limited airflow caused by clogged and/or unclean filters will cause overheating and severely damage the drive.
The Pioneer VFD comes with removable filters to ensure that the drive gets enough airflow while preventing
dust entering into the pump.
•
Ensure that filters for the fan system are regularly inspected and changed at least every 3 months.
•
Filters are washable.
•
Increased replacement of filters is recommended if the drive is in a high smoke, dust environment,
or other extreme situations.
To change the filters:
1.
Disconnect power.
2. To remove the fan hood cover plate, unscrew one 3/8-inch torx
screw on the bottom corner of the cover.
3. If not removing the fan hood, reach under it.
4. Move the air filter up out of the bottom clasp.
5. Slide the filter horizontally out of range of the bottom clasp.
6. Pull the air filter down and out.
7.
Put in a new filter in reverse.
