PURPOSE
Bicycle hand pump, is designed for inflating bicycle wheels, balls. Its very
small size and weight are perfect as an essential piece of equipment
needed on the road. Taking care of the correct pressure in the tyres will
prolong their life and make riding easier, reducing the rolling resistance of
the wheel.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Inflating bicycle wheels
The inflator is equipped with a safety catch, fig. A3, which prevents the
handle from extending by itself with the compression cylinder, fig. C3. In
order to be able to start pumping, the handle of the inflator fig. A3 must be
turned to the left (anti-clockwise) while holding the head. So that a gap is
formed as in fig. B2. The gap will be visible during inflation and will not
allow the handle to move against the pump head without damaging the
pump.
The pump offers two types of valve Schrader fig. B3 and Presta fig. B4.
Depending on the type of valve in the wheel we use the corresponding
head. The Schrader valve type fig. B3 is the default type. To use the
Presta valve fig. B4, unscrew the safety catch fig. A2 to the left
(counterclockwise) and carefully slide out the top of the head as in fig. B4.
Before pumping the wheel, set the appropriate valve (see above) and
proceed. Place the pump head fig. A1 on the wheel valve, holding the
upper part of the head fig. C2 and press against the tyre and proceed to
inflate the wheel fig. D1.
ATTENTION! Please note the correct wheel pressure.
Pumping balls
The balls can be inflated using a special inflation needle (not supplied).
For this purpose, the Schrader valve must be set up, fig. B3, then the
needle can be screwed into it and the ball inflated, fig. D2.
NOTE: the pump is not suitable for pumping beach balls.
Maintenance and storage
Clean the top of the pump with a soft cloth, in case of heavy soiling with a
cloth and detergent. Once every 3 months, add a few drops of oil or a little
Vaseline to the inside of the pump. These agents will preserve the pump
and seal the air compression system. Store the pump in suitable
conditions:
• Positive temperature, but not too hot
• Do not expose to direct sunlight
• Environment with not too high humidity
