Selecting the trigger source
Press the Source softkey to select the trigger source.

Auto
Selects an immediate trigger. The instrument will automatically trigger immediately when the
pressed.
Manual
The specified channel is triggered by pressing the
[Scan/Start] key is pressed, the channel is initialized. The second time the [Scan/Start] key is pressed, the
channel is manually triggered and will begin the digitizing operation.
External
Selects external trigger. The instrument is triggered when an external TTL-compatible trigger pulse is received
from the Ext Trig connector on the rear panel. Once you have selected this as the trigger source:
– You may press the Ext Trig softkey to specify the polarity of the Ext Trig signal as rising edge (Pos) or falling
– You may also press the PreTrigger Count softkey to specify a pretrigger count between 0 to 999,999.
