Tow bar foldable
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.
Please note: The figures in these instructions provide general fitting information.
The installation positions shown in these figures may differ slightly from the
installation positions for the vehicle you are working on. The instructions describe
how to fit the tow bar for vehicles with a virtual pedal.
Foldable tow bar kits with order numbers 565 092 160H, 160K, 160P, 160L and 160Q are
designed for basic models of the ŠKODA KODIAQ (NS).
Kits 565 092 160L and 160Q are designed only for the 7-seater ŠKODA KODIAQ (NS)
exported to Australia.
Please note: On ŠKODA KODIAQ RS vehicles, the sensors for the virtual pedal
aerial are located outside of the area where an opening would be created for the
ball hitch. It is therefore not necessary to adhere the aerial sensor in a different
position.
The instructions provided in points 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12 regarding adhering the sensor
for the virtual pedal aerial in an alternative position on the rear bumper when
fitting the tow bar must therefore not be followed. The other instructions given in
these points relating to adhering the frame to the rear bumper must be followed.
Before installing the tow bar, always check and familiarise yourself with the information
provided in the current product sheet for the particular product!
The product sheet includes information regarding:
- limitations for specific vehicles and equipment during the relevant time period
- the need to order additional parts connected with installation of the relevant product into the vehicle
- necessary removal of certain parts of the vehicle for specific variants and equipment
Warning. Failure to follow these instructions may:
- cause critical damage to the vehicle
- make it impossible to activate the product
- make it impossible to have the entire installation approved
- void the warranty
Any consequences resulting from failure to verify the product sheet and/or to
follow the contained instructions are the responsibility of the entity performing the
installation of the relevant product.
Note. Always check current restrictions in the product sheet for the relevant tow
bar in the B2B, ETKA or PLIM portals.
Applies only to vehicles not set up for a tow bar
Please note: For vehicles that are not set up for a tow bar as part of the equipment
specification, the wiring harness for vehicles not set up for a tow bar must be
ordered from the ŠKODA Original Accessories range, using order no. 565 971
658G.
There are no fitting instructions included with this wiring harness. When fitting
this wiring harness in vehicles not set up for a tow bar, the instructions provided in
this manual must be followed.
