Clamps (for holding the adhered support in position while the adhesive is drying)
Important fitting information
Please note: The vehicle must be clean – the best way to do this is to take it to a
car wash.
In order to correctly adhere the frame and the aerial for the virtual pedal (if fitted) to the surfa-
ce of the rear bumper, the ambient temperature should be between 18 and 30 °C for the dura-
tion of the adhesion procedure for the frame. Protect the components from direct sunlight.
Caution: When fitting this component, ensure that the work area is adequately
ventilated – the cleaning agents, the activator and the adhesive contain dangerous
fumes.
Fitting procedure
The vehicle battery should be disconnected during fitting.
The individual components must be removed and refitted in accordance with the instructions in the
ŠKODA Repair Manual. Place the vehicle on the arms of the workshop lifting platform.
The following components must be removed from vehicles that are set up for a tow bar:
• Rear bumper (and mud flaps if fitted),
• Bar; if required, the foam support under the bumper and the bracket for the towing lug
(depending on the equipment specification),
• Boot lid latch striker cover,
• Left and right side panelling from the luggage compartment,
• Heated AdBlue reducing agent tank (depending on the equipment specification).
The following components must be removed from vehicles that are not set up for a tow
bar:
• Rear bumper (and mud flaps if fitted),
• Bar; if required, the foam support under the bumper and the bracket for the towing lug
(depending on the equipment specification),
• Boot lid latch striker cover,
• Left and right side panelling from the luggage compartment,
• Left-hand interior sill trim (when viewed in the direction of travel),
