• Remove the protective sheet from the pieces of double-sided adhesive tape adhered to the
frame. Then carefully position the frame on the opening in the bumper. The edge of the frame
must be lined up with the edge of the opening that you have made.
Please note: Check whether the frame is properly adhered. The edge of the long
side of the frame must not protrude over the opening that you have made. There is
a risk that the towball for the swivelling ball hitch may collide with the frame.
• Thoroughly press down all around the adhered frame. Now that the bumper is prepared, place
it in a safe place to one side.

• Clip the switch (F) into the appropriate cover (U, V) as shown in the figure such that all four
locking catches on the switch housing engage in the corresponding openings in the cover
(see arrows).
Please note: All of the locking catches must audibly click into place in the
corresponding openings on both sides of the cover.
Applies to the five-seater version

• In accordance with the workshop's practices, use a suitable tool to make the pre-punched
opening in the luggage compartment side panelling.
Please note: Be extremely careful when making the opening along the pre-
punched marking on the inside of the panelling. Be precise when doing so,
ensuring that the cut is not extended too far. If using a snap-off blade, each time
a new opening is made, the portion of the knife blade that has already been used
must be broken off beforehand.
- 16, 17 -
• Visually check the quality of the opening that has been made.
• Use a knife to carefully neaten any areas in the marked recess that are less than perfect, and
use a suitable tool to remove any burring.
Please note: The opening must not be larger than the marked recess on the side
panelling.
- 18 -
• Clip the cover with the fitted switch into the opening in the luggage compartment side
panelling such that all four locking catches on the cover engage behind the side panelling (see
arrows). If necessary, use a suitable tool to carefully lift the locking catches until they engage
correctly.
