CLEANING THE INTELECT® TRANSPORT 2
With the system disconnected from the power source, clean
the system with a clean, lint-free soft cloth moistened with
water and mild antibacterial soap. If a more thorough cleaning
is needed, use a cloth moistened with an antimicrobial cleaner.
Do not submerge the system in liquids. Should the unit
accidentally become submerged, contact the dealer or DJO,
LLC Service Department immediately.
Cleaning the electrotherapy lead wires
To clean the Lead Wires, disconnect them from the unit and
wipe down with a clean, lint free cloth moistened with water
and mild antibacterial soap .
Cleaning the Ultrasound applicator
To clean the ultrasound applicators, disconnect them from the
unit and wipe down with a clean, lint free cloth moistened with
water and mild antibacterial soap.
The ultrasound head may be disinfected with isopropyl alcohol
between each therapy session.
MONTHLY INSPECTION
The following items should be checked at least monthly to
ensure proper operation of this unit:
• Power cord and plug: Check to make sure the cord
is not frayed, kinked, and does not have torn or cut
insulation.
• Ultrasound applicator cable: Check to make sure
the cable is flexible, free of kinks, not frayed, and the
insulation is intact.
• Ultrasound head face: Check to see that there
is no build-up of gel or foreign material on the
aluminum face.
YEARLY CALIBRATION
The unit was calibrated during the manufacturing process and
doesn't need calibration during the product life.
Annual factory calibration is required for all Ultrasound
Applicators. Only the Applicators should be sent to the factory
or a Trained Technician for this procedure.
DEVICE DISPOSAL
Council Directive 2012/19/EU concerning Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requires not to dispose of WEEE
as municipal waste. Contact your local distributor for information
regarding disposal of the unit and accessories.

Service
When the Intelect® Transport 2 or any accessories require
service, contact your selling dealer or your DJO Service
Department contact.
Service to these units will be performed only by a service
technician certified by the Company.
Expected Life
• Device expected life is five years
• Accessories expected life is one year
• Gel electrodes and ultrasound gel are shelf life
accessories and their shelf life is less than device
expected service life. Shelf life is indicated in electrodes
packaging and on gel bottle.
