Fill pump with grease
Remove empty cartridge
1 Loosen grease container (1) two turns to
allow air to enter pump housing (3)
(→ Fig. 9)
2 Pull back on follower handle (21) until
follower rod (22) is fully extended
(→ Fig. 10)
3 Latch follower rod groove (20) into slot on
container (1) cap
4 Unscrew container (1) from pump housing (3)
5 Slowly release follower handle (21) to eject
empty cartridge from container (1)
Cartridge loading
1 Pull back on follower handle (21)
2 Latch follower rod (22) groove into slot on
tube cap (1)
3 Remove plastic cap from cartridge and
insert cartridge into tube(1) open end first
4 Remove pull-tab from cartridge and screw
container tube (1) into pump head and tighten
5 Release follower rod (22) from slot Purge
air from pump See Prime pump, page 15
6 Push and rotate follower rod (22) into cylinder
7 Check to see if low level indicator pin is
reset Push back in to reset if necessary
Manual bulk-fill
1 Pack follower end of container (1) with
grease to prevent air pockets
2 Push packed end of container (1) one inch
into bulk container
3 Slowly pull follower handle (21) back while
pushing container (1) into grease
4 When follower rod (22) is fully extended,
latch groove in follower rod (22) with slot
in container (1)
5 Wipe excess grease from outside of
container (1)
6 Screw container (1) into pump head (20)
and tighten
7 Release follower rod (22) from slot Purge
air from pump See Prime pump, page 15
8 Verify low level indicator pin (10) has reset
9 Push back in indicator pin (10) to reset, if
necessary
Bulk-fill with filler pump
1 Remove bulk-fill plug (24) and replace
with grease fitting (not included in
package) See Fig. 11, page 15
2 Engage follower rod (22) with follower by
pulling up and rotating follower
handle (21)
3 Connect filler pump to grease fitting in bulk
fill port
4 Operate filler pump to fill container
tube (1) while watching follower rod (22)
Container is full when notch on follower
rod becomes visible
5 Disengage follower rod (22) from follower
and push follower rod (22) into container
tube (1)
6 Prime pump See prime pump instructions
on page 15
7 Verify low level indicator pin (10) is reset
Push back in to reset, if necessary
