Use and installation
Bench test and
operation
WARNING
Do not exceed lowest pressure rating of
any component in system.
Never point control valve at any
portion of body or another person.
Product discharged at high velocity can
penetrate skin and cause severe injury.
Should any material appear to puncture
skin get medical care immediately.
Ensure all components are in
operable condition. Replace any suspect
parts prior to operation.
Should leakage occur anywhere
within system, disconnect air to motor.
Failure to comply may result in death
or serious personal injury.
CAUTION
Do not operate this pump
without personal protective
equipment. Pump can
generate noise levels above
85 dBa that could result in hearing loss.
Failure to comply could result in
personal injury.
Initial start up
1 Make sure air pressure at regulator
reads zero.
2 Install air connector (6) to inlet of
air motor.
3 Connect air coupler (7) to connector.
NOTE
Pump must begin to cycle once air
pressure reaches 15 psi (1 bar).
4 Slowly supply air pressure, not to exceed
15 psi (1 bar), to pump motor.
Pump assembly should begin to cycle.
NOTE
Do not operate pump longer than
2 minutes during adjustment procedure.
Excessive heat due to friction can
change setting.
NOTE
Pump may not cycle for additional
reasons. Refer to Troubleshooting,
page 14 for details.
12
With air pressure at zero:
1 Connect product hose to pump
material outlet.
2 Direct hose into collection container.
3 Place pump in product to be dispensed.
4 Slowly supply air pressure to pump
motor once again.
5 Allow pump to cycle slowly until product
is free of air.
NOTE
If pump assembly does not prime, refer
to Troubleshooting, page 14
for details.
6 Inspect packing screw (12) for leakage.
NOTE
Should solution overflow torque hole in
packing screw, tighten packing screw
clockwise
/
turn.
