Maintenance and repair
WARNING
Do not perform overhaul procedure
prior to releasing all pressure within
system.
• Disconnect air supply line from
pump motor.
• Into an appropriate container, operate
control valve to discharge remaining
pressure within system.
Failure to comply may lead to death or
serious personal injury.

Do not point a control valve at any
portion of body or another person.
Accidental discharge of pressure and/or
material can occur.
Failure to comply may lead to death or
serious personal injury.
Overhaul
NOTE

identification for all overhaul
procedures.
Disassembly
Separate pump tube
from air motor
1 Clamp pump assembly vertically in vise
at bung adapter (25).
2 Remove screws (3), lock washers (4), and
nuts (5) that secure air motor assembly
to pump tube assembly.
3 Lift motor upward to expose upper
coupling (9) and at the same time place a
wood block (2 x 4 in) onto surface of
upper mounting (15)
(→ Fig. 4, page 15).

4 Lower air motor onto wood block.
5 Remove upper spring clip (10) that
secures air motor piston to coupling.
6 Rotate coupling until air motor
piston is free.
7 Remove air motor assembly.
Access to body packing
1 Remove lower spring clip (10) that
secures rod (11) to coupling.
2 Remove coupling from piston (11).
3 Remove packing screw (12) from gland
screw (16).
4 Clamp pump assembly horizontally in
vise at body (23).
5 Use wrench on bung adapter to unscrew
and remove cylinder (24) with attached
components from body.
