Compensation Run

All clamping and centring means are balanced within
a maximum permitted tolerance.
To compensate for any residual unbalance that might
be left in the clamping tool, it is recommended that a
compensation run be performed after switching on
the machine or after changing the wheel adaptor,
especially a motorcycle wheel adaptor. This mode
cannot be transferred into the permanent memory.
Application:
— Fit the clamping device properly on the balancer
shaft. Do not fi t the wheel.
— In the MAIN MENU press key 3 three times
in succession (Fig. 6-1) and select code C 4
COMPENSATION.
The COMPENSATION screen C4 (Figure 6-2) is
displayed.
— Start the compensation run, key 4 (START).
The Compensation Run takes longer than a regular
measuring run. After the run, an icon in the Status Bar
indicates the Compensation Active status (1, Fig. 6-3).
Compensation remains active until cancelled by one
of the following cases:
- Selection of status 0 in code C 4 and confi rmation
with key 26,
- after a recalibration,
- after an optimisation run or
- by switching off the machine.
