When calculating for foundation or supporting struc-
ture the following factors should be taken into consid-
eration .
Total weight of the FlexFilter EX with accessories
(see "Technical data") .
Traction forces generated by explosion relief vent-
ing (for models with relief venting only) .
Max weight of the collected material .
Possible wind load .
Each of the anchor bolts securing the FlexFilter EX,
must withstand traction forces of 12 kN vertically and 5
kN horizontally.
Recommended bolts for concrete are Hilti HDA-PF
22-M12x125/30 or equivalent . If expansion bolts are
to be used, the concrete foundation must be prepared
according to bolt recommendations .
The FlexFilter EX should not be installed close to heat
sources or hot surfaces .
If installed outdoors, it is recommended that the Flex-
Filter EX is covered top side to protect from snow/rain
or other falling debris .

Installation

It is recommended to transport the FlexFilter EX to the
installation site while still in the factory packing .
1 . Remove the factory packaging (see picture no . 9) .
2 . Position the FlexFilter .
3 . Anchor the collector firmly to a hard, level and firm
foundation .
4 . Remove the leg cover (see picture no . 14 / A)
5 . Remove the (4 on each side) transport bolts (see
picture no . 10 / A) .
6 . Turn the collector by releasing the push in lock pin
(see picture no . 10 / B) .
7 . Rotate the collector 180° (see picture no . 11) . The
lock pin will automatically lock the position (see
picture no . 12 / B) .
8 . Secure the upright position with the 4 bolts on
each side (see picture no . 13 / A) .
9 . Fit the dust bin to the cone module and attach
pressure relief hose (see picture no . 13 / A-B) .
10 . Fit to the earth cable routed with the pressure relief
hose to the bin (see picture no . 13 / C) .
FlexFilter EX
11 . Fit the left or right bracket on control filter (see
picture no . 14 / B) . Tighten the bolts (see picture
no . 14 / G) loosely to allow free movement of the
bracket up and down .
Note! Two types of brackets are shipped with the
FlexFilter EX. One for right hand side installation
(marked "R") of the control filter and one for left
hand side installation (marked "L") .
12 . Hang the control filter with bracket to the upper
pair of key holes on the leg (see picture no . 14 / C) .
13 . Tighten the two key hole bolts firmly to secure the
bracket to the leg (see picture no . 14 / D) .
14 . Adjust the height of the control filter by turning the
lower bolt (see picture no . 14 / E)
15 . Fit the elbow pipe and the straight pipe to the top
module (see picture no . 14 / F) .
16 . Once the height is properly adjusted, secure the
bracket to the control filter by tightening the two
bolts (see picture no . 14 / G) .
17 . Connect earth cables between the top module,
straight pipe, elbow and control filter (see picture
no . 14 / H) .
18 . Before refitting the leg cover, see chapter "Electri-
cal installation" for Terminal Box installation .

Cable and hose routing

Cut and release the cable bundle from the legs . Route
the cable bundle up towards the top module attaching
it to the clamp .
Fit the cleaning valve to the top module (see picture
no . 15) .
Fit the Explosion Relief Panel Sensor to the bracket .
(see picture no . 16) .
Connect the two hoses, marked + and -, to the hose
inlets on the control filter (see picture no. 6 / 4-5).

Accessories

Installation of deflector, BLI (Bin Level Indicator), fire
alarm, filter alarm or other accessories is described in
the manual for each respective product .
