5.0 OPERATION AND USE

5.1 TELESCOPIC FRAME

The seeder is suitable only for the uses indicated. Any other
use different from that described in these instructions could
cause damage to the machine and represent a serious hazard
for the user.
Regular operation depends on the correct use and adequate main-
tenance of the equipment. It is advisable therefore to observe scru-
pulously what is described in order to prevent any inconveniences
that could prejudicate proper operation and duration
In addition, all information for the best use of the machine and
instructions and useful advice for correct maintenance are supplied.
It is just as important to keep to what is described in this booklet
since the Manufacturer declines all responsibility due to ne-
gligence and non-observance of these rules.
At any rate the Manufacturer is available to assure immediate and
accurate technical assistance and all that may be necessary for
the improved operation and better performance of the equipment.
Check that the rapid-action connections of the hydraulic system
are connected correctly, as otherwise damage may be caused to
the components of the system.
Escape of oil at high pressure may cause wounds to the skin with
risk of serious injury and infection. If this should happen, consult
a doctor immediately. It is therefore absolutely forbidden to install
hydraulic components in the tractor cabin.
All components forming part of the system should be carefully
positioned to avoid damage being caused during the use of the
equipment.

USE AND MAINTENANCE

5.1.1 DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION

The frame of the machine allows its overall road going dimensions
to be reduced to the 3,00 metres necessary for transport. Through
a hydraulic system, cylinders are actuated that draw the seeding
elements within the overall dimensions of the central frame. By
the same system, as described below, the side wings are folded
vertically.
Before and after the actuation of the hydraulic system, check
that the pins and safety systems are in the correct position.
During the opening and closing phase of the frame do not
remain near to the machine for any reason.
The opening and closing of the frame is controlled by a junction
box (fi g. 13) that acts on a solenoid valve and also allows the
following operations:
A) opening and closing of the frame;
B) lengthways sliding of the seeding elements;
C) actuation of the row marking arms (chapter 5.6);
